I recently started playing Yakuza 0 and also began watching Yakuza films too. Last week, I watched Sonatine and honestly it's gotta be one of the best film I've ever watched, Takeshi Kitano is so cool and I love how the film portrays boredom. Yesterday I watched Ichi the Killer and I think it's really cool but incomparable to the manga, Miike's take is cooler but the Manga have that sick and twisted touch of Hideo Yamamoto that Takashi Miike couldn't quite depict. I think I'm going to watch Crazy Thunder Road next. How about you, did you watch any Yakuza films lately? Do you have a film that you want to talk about?

Sonatine kinda is one of the best films ever made. Give Hanabi a try I would say it's the better movie but Sonatine is just so damn special. Either way it's great. Miike has a bunch to try. Like a dragon by him isn't much of a film but quite fever dreamish. I thinks better the less you know about the yakuza games. Gozu is really fun by Miike.

Crazy Thunder Road 'll be interesting. Ishii the director rocks. I'm very slow to watch a film. Don't even remember the last proper yakuza film I watched. Seen any Japanese delinquent films? Blue spring rocks! Similar stasis leak mind juice feel to Sonatine.

I have Hanabi downloaded but I'm saving it for another time. Definitely gonna check out more of Miike's film in the future. I haven't seen any Japanese delinquent films, I only have Crazy thunder Road downloaded months ago after seeing it being talked about in /t/. I usually get my Japanese delinquent contents from manga (Including Blue Spring), Japanese cinema as a whole is kind of an untouched endeavor for me. Maybe I'll check out Blue Spring next.
