I just recently finished watching The Sudbury Devil. For a long-time follower of Atun-Shei the visual story telling didn't surprise me too much. Yes, it is a YouTuber movie. Without explicitly stating, it would be hard for a viewer to come to that conclusion. As the movie both visually and story vise is more akin to Lanthimos works, than standard YouTuber movies. I won't talk much about the plot, as the description does a fine job telling you what is necessary.
The fact that Andrew Rakich (Atun-Shei) has consumed psychedelics. The music, from all the arts most tied to psychotropic state, with it's ominous chanting and speaking-in-tounges lyrics.

i mean the guy did go to film school so I feel like calling it a YouTuber movie demeans it a bit. He even sorta did that in his video talking about the movie, should prob give himself more credit.
