i think steam is a pretty good social media platform. i love how terrible the game specific discussion threads are, and i think that the steam workshop is a truly beautiful place and i have made some contributions to it so having a stake in it makes me more prone to liking it.

Jokes aside, steam is a pretty good and what I find to be competent a platform. I don't consider steam a social media, it's a store front for comes first then anything else. My main problems with steam is DRM and collection of user data. Overall tho, it's a good platform.
