The controller sucked ballz but it was overall a good console with a very nice library of games for it. Compared to its competitors (the wii and ps3) you can see how the american idea of a game console was more software and service oriented vs the more hardware focused japanese mentality. But that's also partially down to MS being a software company compared to Nintendo and Sony which have a legacy as toy/gadget makers
