misread the other thread title. anyways i don't like hurting little fishies in real life, but i love the zen like state you can enter while fishing, so fishing games are supremely my shit. any games with fishing youd recommend? i like playing reel vr fishing and fishing in animal crossing quite a bit

Fishing in Minecraft is about the right level of mindless.
BDO has fishing but you can just afk it. Active fishing in bdo kinda sucks.
Animal crossing fishing is nice.
GW2 fishing is good too

you don't have to fish to spend hours sitting in silence in a canoe on a lake. i'd offer you to come with me but you're probably on the other side of the earth.
the dog island, cute little ps2 game, has pretty good fishing. more on the active side. gets pretty intense when you're dealing with bigger fish.
barotrauma isn't a fishing game but it has the coolest deep sea wildlife of any video game ever (not like there are many deep sea themed video games, but still, these creatures are way too cool) and playing as a gunner on the ship is basically just fishing but with bullets and nukes.

The Monster Hunter games have fishing for when you're not hunting monsters

stardew valley has some nice fishing same with fishing in fishing star world tour on da switch

found a new fishing game called webfishing, it's $5 and it's like an online chatroom. it's pretty epix with a lot of fish and you can drink beer with ur friends and just fish.
