Today i went thrifting and i want to goodwill and found a 24 port rack mounted switch for like 4 dollars and like 12 records for around 10 dollars all together and later i got a cheap little dell vista pc that ll hopefully be able to use as a small server or a floppy drive r/w machine. so my day has been pretty good how have y'alls day been then?

I actually went thrifting yesterday, I bought a silly cat shirt and a few others including a Rurouni Kenshin summer shirt. It was a pretty nice day and I had a salmon and cream cheese too

I went to a thrift shop recently, nothing of interest except for a book that's an old favorite of mine but in the language I am trying to learn. It is more difficult than picture books to read, but I am suprised how much I understand just from remembering how the story goes. Since I thrifted it I get the sense that I don't really need to be careful with the pages so I fold the corner as a bookmark. I wonder if this is unkind to the book as its not its fault that it is beat up. If it were shiny and new I would treat the pages more delicately. Cruel?

i do the same thing to used books, i found a used copy of whipping girl at a thrift store and i underline / write notes in the margins. if someone else ends up with the book after me maybe they'll appreciate the love i put into it, so maybe you can look at it the same way?

Cex is great, I always look around in there without actually buying anything. Maybe I should, physical media is awesome

I went to an estate sale yesterday and found some vintage legos. There were printed on elevated base plates, completely in tact minifigs, old pirate ship parts. It was a gold mine for a lego autist like me.
