So why not an image board, instead of a text only board?

i can only speculate. but to my view the storage and transfer requirements of text only board is 1000x less than image board minimum.
that and text only facilitates different culture than image based.

That's understandable yeah, I wouldn't want poltards posting greedy merchants on every thread.

a lot of immageboards lately have been getting spammed by glowies, soyjak spammers, or insane people with illegal material, it's probably for the better that it's a textboard

I'm so happy about the existence of this site. I agree, that making this text board was right call. Might help filter out those mentioned above and encourage quality threads and posts.

Textboards are better imo. 99% of images posted on imageboards are not original content anyway.

Nothing stops us from posting links to images
