The biggest issue with hardcore Monotheism (Judaism) is that when you have a god that created everything, it means it created evil itself. Dualist religion tackles the issue by stating evil is separate from good.
Zoroastrianism is weird, it is not entirely dualist nor monotheistic. It is more akin to pantheism with a flavor of both dualism and monotheism. There are still lower godly deities (polytheism), but says one is the highest of all and the creator of all that is good (monotheism). But there exists a force that is as powerful as the all powerful and it has taken control of the word (dualism).
