10k? where? hell in montana (fing montana) i can't find any that low, and you need a couple acres min to grow any decent food supply.
if you don't care about low ping high bandwidth no datacapped internet it's still fine. water may be a problem. 1000 for solar setup is low tho. batteries are heck'n spendy. also probably need to factor in a cheap pickup for hauling supplies in every so often. even if you wanna go permaculture route for majority of food, not having it and needing it could mean game over.
