Anon discovers the existence of textboards.

The number of problems with self hosting a small image board are massive. Content moderation, bandwidth limitations, storage. It is all exponentially more difficult with images.
And as you mention yes it does have an effect of producing higher “effort” posts. Altho as we see that effect can be marginal (not you, and really it’s a subjective thing anyway. Nothing really wrong with pointless meme jerking)

The submitted images have to have their filenames formatted for security also. So yeah if all you're worrying about is text, things are sooo much simpler. That said n0 fumbled this site together and wouldn't know his way around its code very well

I just want to say this site being a textboard is the best choice and I hope it stays a textboard
