I used to lay in bed until noon but that felt terrible and my muscles got weaker, but waking up early at 6 is not sustainable so now i just alternate between the 2, waking up (as in getting out of bed and sitting around outside) at 6 am and 10 am, by waking at 10 am like once or twice a week I can sustain waking up at 6 am much much longer and it doesnt feel like a forced routine

If you aren't able to wake up at around the same time every day without having to wake up later a couple days a week in order to sustain it, it is adding stress to your life. Of course, this is inevitable to most people who have to wake up at a certain time every day for their scheduled responsibilities. However, if you have the oppertunity to wake up whenever you want, I feel it is better to choose waking up at 9 or 10 rather than 6, if that means you are able to sustain that every day without slipping into later and later times.

the thing is when i wake up at 9 or later it easily slips into noon, but when i wake up around 6 that never happens, also i have a longer day when i wake up early

Anon, unironically get a job. Having a schedule and a reason to be up and out of bed and responsibility in your life is good for you.

i have always had sleep issues that made it difficult to go to bed/get up at typical times.
here is what i learned.
sleep hygiene is really important. i don't have a television in my room and don't use my phone in it either. i bought an old style alarm clock. i don't do anything stimulating in bed except fucking (which doesn't count because it's exercise and can tire you out at the end) or reading (though some types of books I stopped reading in bed and instead read at my dinner table because they were too exciting and kept me up)

keep a routine and stick with it and follow it even on the weekends. certainly don't get a pet JUST for this reason, but having a pet does help because pets DO need a schedule and will naturally keep one (probably better than humans do) and will kind of force your hand. There a ton of benefits to pet stewardship.
