i love camos. i like the patterns. i like the colours. i like the concept of concealment. do you like camos? what are your favourite patterns?
for summer: ucp dyed green upper with m81 woodland lower
for autumn: flecktarn upper with m81 woodland lower
for winter: white cloak over whatever insulating layers with ucp lower
for spring: m81 woodland upper with ucp lower if there's still snow on the ground, else use full m81
m81 has very nice tones, brown being the dominant one. useful for concealment around forest floors, tree trunks and naked tree branches. beautiful rounded shapes. has the upside/downside of making you look like a generic bad guy terrorist.
flecktarn is mostly useless except for the short period of the year during which deciduous trees turn yellow and orange and red and brown, but it's probably one of the prettiest patterns out there. very nice tones, olive green being the dominant one, with touches of orange, black and sage green. rounded shapes, more dot-like compared to m81 woodland's streak-like pattern.
ucp usually gets a lot of hate but i like it a lot. i blame no more room in hell and the war on terror for my retardation. decent tones, the dominant one being grey, with touches of a light grey bordering on beige. square shapes, digital camo for digital warriors. only offers concealment in rocky areas, can be good in dirty snow. might be good for mountainous regions depending on the terrain of the specific mountain you're on. dyed green, it becomes a fantastic camo for forested areas during the summer.
why do the sets i bring up consist of different patterns for uppers and lowers? someone who knows about concealment to some degree will know, but i'll give a basic explanation for the unaware. the point is to break up the body into unrecognizable pieces. dressing your whole body in a single pattern just makes you look like a man-shaped camo pattern. also, legs are closer to the ground, and the ground usually has a very different palette from the one that can be seen higher up, around tree branch or human torso height. now i just need to remember the basics of cqc...

forgot to mention this, the first thing to do upon arriving to whatever locale you're gonna be exploring should be to roll around in the dirt so that your patterns aren't so easily recognizable. plus you get to have fun pretending to be a worm. big bony worm.
