take a bunch of dry beans put them in a pot with water before sleep, wake up boil those suckas. also boil a bunch of potatoes and eggs.
now you got a bunch of potatoes and beans and egs.
beans can be converted into a chili toping for a potato with onion powder, garlic, cayenne pepper, cumin, and a squirt of tomato ketchup. I do it one portion at a time (season to taste, add other stuff if you like. very versatile)
The beans can be frozen in portion sizes then defrosted and heated up as needed (it always better to make a lot of beans at once) or stored in the fridge.
canned beans are convenient, but generally a scam.
takes some simple prep, but pretty quick once you have the beans and potatoes in your fridge. egg can be a quick snack.
you can also do rice to mix with beans. also very tasty and versatile.

lentils are like beans but better because you don't have remember to soak them the night before.
Rinse lentils.
Boil lentils until they go mushy over low heat. (remove any foam on the surface of the water with a spoon while cooking)
drain lentils.
Put back in the pot, add garam masala, chili flakes, salt, boullion powder, basically anything you think will make it taste good (garam masala or some other spice mix is non-negotioable though).
Congratulations you now have made dahl. Eat with rice for a complete protein.
if you want to get fancy, mix in some coconut milk to the dahl for a creamier texture and coconut flavor.

u have it backwards, it's actually lazier to plan in advance and make a bunch of stuff all at once bcuz then you don't have to do as much cooking and cleaning up in the long term.

Stick porridge oats in a mug
Then add powdered milk and syrup
Pour in water
It's pretty good if you get the quantities right
