No one is happy for an extended period of time without chemical assistance, so you shouldn't have that goal in the first place. The best you can get is a state of contentedness, in other words, nothing is too wrong. The best way to get this is to minimise the amount of "things" that can be or go wrong, via minimalism. So you should become a minimalist.

>>4 I dont think >>2 is wrong here even outside of drugs, often in life we are staring around and feeling empty for a moment, I think the beauty of it all makes us feel empty, like bears staring out in the sunset, we can only observe this passing moment, not to mention all the inevitable conflicts every so often, even when we are going up in life the day to day experience will always be an up down wave

hard disagree with the minimalism because pain, conflict, suffering and grief are inevitable they WILL happen, you can cowar from the world and do as little as possible or live your life fully, someone who hides away cant learn you stagnate, to become better at things accept the countless failures

make it a priority to seek out and appreciate beauty. it may be just another distraction, but it's good at taking your mind off of the bad. i find it in cats, 2d girls, cloudy skies and snowstorms. our species has an impressively high tolerance to hardships. we're born in a hell of blood, flesh, claws and teeth and we somehow convince ourselves that it's all okay (and even worth enforcing upon others by reproducing!) because there are a few nice things sprinkled throughout, such as: friends, pretty things, yummy things, nice sounds, pleasant feelings. these nice things are definitely worth seeking out. do they excuse the rest of it all? i'd say no with certainty, but they're still enjoyable. so if you can get enough of nice things, you should be able to bear with the universal suffering for the sake of getting more of those nice things.

there's also lots of happiness to be found in helping loved ones. don't make your life harder trying to help out, but if an opportunity presents itself, even the smallest help can mean a lot to the person who benefits from it, and the tribal nature of humans rewards helping members of your group with lots and lots of happy feelings. making your friends happy makes you happy.

drink tea.

i've tried watching lain like four of five times and i can never get away from it with an understanding of its meaning because i can't stop obsessing over how cute lain is. all i think about when i try to watch her show is how badly i want to kiss her and play with her hair and poke her tummy.

suffering can be avoided with a 24/7 opioid iv drip feed. it's not a good way to live (there is none) but it seems painless enough to be comfortable.

never done em recreatively but i've been administered some milder kind while recovering from a surgery and i've never felt so good in a physical sense even considering the holes in my body, which is why i don't want to try doing them recreatively because i'm afraid i'll never be able to tolerate being sober again if i do.

using opioids consistently makes you more sensitive to pain both physically and emotionally. eventually, even larger doses won't get you high and it's just maintenance. your whole world becomes worse than when you started

opiods do leave you very fragile and jittering allot worse off then being a little down

man, it's the key question of the humans for many thousands of years. better start asking question "what actually is going on here on this planet"
