aren't most of those japanese interpretations of "western food" though? Traditional japanese food is fish + rice + miso soup + pickled vegetables for every meal lol.

Pretty likely my blood pressure raised just imagining what's like eating that every day.

salt affects certain portions of the population really badly
but it also is basically a non-issue for others
if you have a high salt diet, consult with your physician about your blood pressure instead of guessing if you're one or the other

i understand, its just that they dont seem too childish to me considering that they're meant for japanese taste. There's also wagashi, they seem way less childish than french or american sweets.

It's not so much that high sodium is bad for cardiovascular health, it's an imbalance of sodium and potassium which causes the problems.
Although japanese (and korean) diet are high in sodium, they also regularly eat a lot of soy beans, which have the highest potassium by weight of any bean. Also other high potassium foods like certain kinds of fish. That being said, high sodium diets also increase your risk of developing colon cancer, and we can see that japan and korea have a higher than average rate of colon cancer, likely in part due to their high sodium diets.
