when you know you have limited time and limited cool things to do its way more likey thay you will do it, while when you have a phone and infinite things to do poeple tend to do less, you do less when you have more, rich poeple are often less obese than poeple who barely scrape by

like I used to watch more shows and movies when I had just a tv and cable now I can watch any show but I dont weird

but you don't have infinite time.

dont nitpick,a person who has 2 hours of reading time per day will use it while a person with 19 hours wont, we already went through this with the one day in the year weekend

I used to be that way but then once I became aware of it, I started reading a light novel volume a day desu. i had to uninstall discord, block image boards, and news sites and buy an e-ink reader in order to achieve this though, after a while I have unblocked those sites and I still read novels.

I think that I was kind of drawn to groups of people because I had too much time on my hands and was more isolated than when I had less time. Even news and political discussion is a group activity. But then eventually I grew tired of people enough that I could focus on my own activities.

It's not the phone that's the problem, it's that other people are connected to you through that phone and can influence you to waste time with them rather than watch anime.

Ultimately, someone has to decide what they are interested in most and sacrifice everything else desu.
