If nobody seizes this chance, the normalfags will go back to Tiktok, Reddit, Telegram and Instagram, and the more dedicated imageboard/textboard users and more internet-savvy people will go to altchans (I predict mostly Wizchan, Endchan, the Webring boards, Tohno-chan, the Sharty and some smaller ones will take the majority of the user base, if 4chan doesn't come back and nobody builds an alternative) and it would be really a waste of potential if this chance just resolves into the void. inb4 why don't you do it yourself? Well, I don't want to admin an imageboard, however I would do everything possible if there was such a new imageboard to support it's growth.
Ignore what I wrote, 4chan will return and it will be all the same, but worse, but hopefully something happens. >>5 You have to consider that all the janitors and mods got doxed, so even if 4chan were to return, then they lost a majority of their staff. This puts faith in me that this might not be a nothingburger. Also, with the source code, much of the lies the 4chan administration spread, were proven to be false, such as the fact that unlike the FAQ states the e-mails for verification weren't purged, but instead saved to keep track of people, which might be an argument for some people to leave.
