what do you guys do?
I usually take the stoic approach and focus on my duties and responsibilities, this makes me stay calm and fuck up less by not doing panicked decisions

depends on the level of stress, urgency, and length of time it will take to resolve.
long term, ambiguous solutioned, moderately stressful situations gradually wear me down until i fall apart.
however very high urgency, high stress situations, i fully lock in and work to resolve it while around me people panic and start screaming. i've only learned this the first time I was in a situation where someone needed immediate first aid. later situations with kitchen fires and other high blood situations.
full vulcan logic mode. it's kinda bizarre to experience tbh. since learning that ive occasionally been able to trigger this behavior in myself to do less "important" things, by deliberately making the stress extreme and gaslighting myself into thinking it was an urgent situation to resolve. but it really drains my emotional reserves so i couldn't do something like first responder work and stay sane.

first responders are so underrated because they distance themselves from the chaos around them and focus on their job its the only way to get things done

Stress makes me fall asleep

i generally romanticise stress so whenever i am stressed out i simply live in the moment, if feels way too good to be on edge, at that moment it may be kind of scary but after the fact you can feel goo d abt it

3 is right the kind of stress changes so much about it... i am not good with stress it's the kind of thing that if i'm too stressed out for a long period i will start having very delusional thinking and making very strange mistakes. otherwise, i treat stress like a duck and try to let it slide off my back. sometimes this means i get into trouble because it's expected for me to be stressed, but i'm not. sometimes this leads to avoiding necessary action, which has probably led to the aforementioned long term stress...

if im outside and i get stressed i reach into my pocket and grab my keys so they dig into my skin and the pain grounds me or something

if i'm in a really bad frame of mind i just center myself and gradually go back to my baseline, usually music or games i like or white noise of some kind helps a lot

Intimidation so that I can feel like I’m in control if it’s someone wreckless I play coy or try silently turning them towards what I can’t tell will calm them down but some times it’s something stupid and hate it so I go against it making sure I make it clear I want to piss them off
