I wish there was a simple and easy way to combat these but I don't think there is. Because whenever I look at a piece of information that is meant to illicit paranoia and distrust in a person (specifically towards various institutions, ideas and established scientific theories) I notice the same pattern every time.
The meme/cognition hazard reinforces the observers previously held belief with the help of an additional element,weather it be a quote from an authority figure or a thought terminating cliche.
"It's common sense", "Trust your eyes", "This authority said so".
There is also what I would call the "Fisheye" effect, where there is an extreme focus on one aspect of a concept or situation to the point where outside possibilities are hard to introduce or consider, lest these things be seen as distractions or as being dismissive.

I care very little for defending scientific concepts. That being said, the anti-intellectual sentiment worries me. There’s genuine antipathy, ignorance, and hostility to real knowledge. This is now extremely widespread in society among all types of people. You face hostility everywhere from all types of people who usually want you to say what they want to hear. Nobody likes having their bubble popped, and they will reach for all kinds of theories to discredit and attack you. The humanities is on the ropes.

Im post intellectual I no longer necesitate a major part of my brains functions particularly those need for creative, forward and critical thinking skills, mostly because I choose to keep living comfortably, I know that I am actively not feeding into the overarching agenda of society or the rebelious ambition of those against current societal ideals, which are sure to change, but... therefor it means any change I bring about today will be erased and replaced.
In a world where things only change based on the collective unconcious's needs, one measly person choosing to not participate means nothing, the world doesnt fall apart when lower class citizens loose their jobs, its just them that suffer, one only thinks of how awful the future could be once they start to suffer, but as long as the ones suffering are below them they will simply utter, "get a job, shouldve stayed away from drugs, shouldve paid attention in school" and so on, its as if our ego is a mockery of our empathy and our empathy simply and ironic joke to our ego, you can have a million stories with the same message, but the human will simply hide behind a veil of weakness not wanting to admit its pitfalls saying "yes I see all that is wrong in my system, but im just a lowly individual" as they actively seek to step and tear at the backs of others to get above them, not for freedom or wealth, but to simply declare, "I AM KING, AND YOU ARE ALL BELLOW ME, EVERYONE!, BE MINE PROXY AND DOMINATE MINE ENEMY" there is no empathy without reward, but this means that I can simply sit back and watch them all rip eachother to shreds, it does not matter what seat I get but aslong as i do not jump in the pit, I can relax, doesnt matter what i have, after all even if that most prized possession was reachable we would have to fight just as hard to keep it as to get it, to someone like me that prize would be the love from someone who I can have an exciting dynamic with and a whole lot of sexual pleasure, but eitherway expecting perfection out of another human being is simply stupid and outright retarded.

every music teacher ever always dedicating an entire class to playing and analyzing that song and its' lyrics while waxing poetic about the fall of the wall did eventually seep into me as corny as patriotism is

anyway i think the main riff to Generals & Majors by XTC pairs really well with 99 Luftballons, i'm mostly saying the main riff instead of the whole song because i think the verses and rest of the song feel like prancing satire while the riff really feels like watching something soar above and beyond into the sky like a school of red balloons about to start a war
