I feel as though a LOT has happened over the course of this year. Remember 2016? And how at the time people thought THAT was the worst year? Yeah, I remember. Or maybe I'm schizoing out. But I'm getting off track. Given all the shit that has happened so far, I'm creating this thread so you can throw in YOUR 2026 prediction. Or predictions.

I can't say for certain what will happen but i can't wait to see how RISC-v is advanced further next year it seems like every year is a major improvement

the realism fetish in gaming is the worst trend that won't die for some reason. if i wanted realism i'd go outside :[

anyway year of hindsight 7 will be the same as every other year. because nothing changes, the universe is a bounded loop. tape cassettes sales will grow. bandcamp musicians will start putting music video vhs tapes for sale. steam machines will simultaneously be heralded as a success and a failure. wars and rumours of wars. jesus will return but no one will notice (again).
