I browsed agora for a while they suffer with the same stagnation every other online third place does, not only do they react with scoffing at the newfags but dont even offer a place to start, lurking will never be enough for a new member it also needs care, old nerds are quick to laugh at the newcomer, if you do not cultivate civil helpful discussion free of judgement then it all eventually becomes a flame war, lead by example and do not reject the new fag simply humble them, in agora there is also alot of friendly people who are more than willing to chat, just dont make the same mistake i made of posting my ass on the status page, i feel we need to address the autists propesity to easily outrage and dessert at the sight of any form of social interaction that does not involve technical talk
