There was nothing to watch on youtube so I watched an old Digi video about Old Light Novel trends.
https://myswordisunbelievablydull.wordpress.com/2015/01/15/light-novel-anime-trends-cant-possibly-be-this-interesting/
(About the Article has anyone got a link to download the two Faust magazines mentioned in this video... I used to have a link but I lost it)

Are there any anime youtubers like Digi.

I know Artificialnightsky but are there any others? Parz is good, I wish he posted more.

Bonus points if it's a channel that talks about light novels.

Also if you know what and who Digi used to read to find info about anime I'd love to know that too. I

i'm pulling this from super old memories so sorry if i'm forgetting the name but i think she mentioned reading newtype usa a lot. really any american 00s anime magazine she would have read if given the chance. she also was on the web, so places like mal and old forums were most likely another place she woulda found stuff. in a lot of videos she'd mention someone she looked up to as a mentor named ghost lightning. (ran a blog. can't remember if it was about anime or not. they might have interesting recs.) hope these methods point you in the right direction.

Trixie the Golden Witch still makes videos on the We Watch Anime YouTube channel. You should also check out https://www.youtube.com/@BranchesOfYgg (used to be called Digibro After Dark), https://www.youtube.com/@digidoesanime4466 and https://www.youtube.com/@KHANTEHNTShow

As >>3 also mentioned ghostlightning's writings are good: https://ghostlightning.wordpress.com/

For light novels you can check out: https://theeasternstandard.blogspot.com/
Sakuga Blog is also a good resource.

blunova makes videos that focus on tokusatsu: https://www.youtube.com/@Blunovain

Some alternatives though most of them are dead: Explanation Point, Under The Scope, BestGuyEver, Mr.Cynical, DEMOLITION D, The Pedantic Romantic, GoatJesus, NineOuh, TheDavoo, Keksi

There were more but I can't remember now.
