most of my life ive done things my way expecting that most people just do things kind of like me, but ever since i got into uni ive had a revelation. When i do things, i want to be 100% committed. i dont really give much thought into it, if i do something, after evaluating a situation, then i am sure, what i chose, is the right choice. so why shouldnt i be committed to it? however most people, around me at least, dont usually do that. from my experience working in a creative field the majority usually create amalgamations from stuff they have seen/read (stuff they "know" is true) and their personal input, stuff they think could be true but are not really that adamant on following. at first, i was confused but then my colleagues and my professors started praising me for my committment to my ideas. i truly dont understand why people would sell their ideas and their ideals just to make something that is "correct", i would much rather be wrong and myself than be "correct" and opinionless
