I kind of agree. & I kind of feel myself as hikki otaku with dislike of some mainstream narratives.
But at the same time, sometimes I question and ask, what is otaku nowadays? There are so many anime subgenres, often conflicting with each other, and anime became mainstream. Denpa? Maybe. some sorta Cyberphunk some times? Could be. I never thought we'll be living through it rn nowadays irl, drones & other cyber stuff became mainstream.

I feel like this thread, and few other threads is more about existential goals: okay, we're denpa, we're here, we're queer, how we gonna spend out time together? any common goals, projects, collabs? like, what we as a group want to achieve, if anything?

the more abstract targets, criterias - the less relevant results we may see.
I like K.I.S.S. princible - keeep it simple. and S.M.A.R.T. - measureable, achieveable, timeable, relateable

p.s. also regarding my skillset, feel obliged to share. I kno, saw. some of you come from different backround, expiriences, music prod, 2d art, poetry, blogging, webmastering.
