There are also lots of SFW furry spaces and in any furry space that I've been in drugs and alcohol abuse have been very highly discouraged. Some furs can be a bit autistic, but on the whole there are plenty of decent people who you can actually have a conversation with. If you have Telegram or Discord I'd start there.
