I often feel like I'm not advancing the main story of my life. Like in my neighborhood I have spent hours trying to find missing cats and I have only found one.
Trying to find niche folk records is also another one I've been at, which I have had more success at. I would also like to start a cool music project but I'm soft blocked by my lack of money, and I have too much of a moral conscience to go down the criminal route.
Really, I should try and get out of NEETdom and go into my Carrier questline but it won't be nearly as free-roam.

Finding a missing cat is pretty cool. I hope the owner was happy

I spend my time (trying to) learn languages and collect old books and rare manuscripts (pdfs, I can't afford hard copies) and memorize poems. I have begun to experiment with magic and religion and withdraw from regular life. Now, I always feel inadequate as reclusive scholar and feel like I need to know more, learn more etc. People hate me. I want a cat. Maggotsworryguts, please find one and send it to me.

Ottoman Turkish, classical Chinese, and written Japanese. I want to learn some version of modern spoken Arabic since they never taught us that. Its not going well. Its like I'm stuck at the same level endlessly repeating it.

In my experience, it is better to start learning other languages after you've reached the upper-end of B2 in whatever language you're learning. Focus on one until then. That way, you're not overwhelming your brain with so much new information. Also, never start two at the same time. Your brain needs time to recover and process all the stuff you're learning. Which takes time. It may not seem like you're progressing right now but as long as you're consistent and continue doing meaningful activity in the language, you will progress.

Good point but the biggest issue is finding adequate/resources for obscure languages. At least with Japanese there's no shortage of stuff to learn from and media to consume.

The uk has a lot of trains. I've heard from euros that apparently out public transport is good, but to be honest it doesn't feel like it a lot of the time

There’s a lot of trains where I live, rails go past our roads everywhere, sure to give you tinnitus, fairly walkable but fat idiots opt for vehicles, public transportation too, I really don’t get why these idiots don’t walk

Update time!
I ate a hot bowl of shit at my interview, not literally, I was just super nervous and the gut looked at me like I was a scared deer or something.
Although I now have a trail shift coming up which is good!
