How do I become a wagie

1 Name: meat 2025-11-15 20:38
I've been trying to get a job for the past year now I've sent out over 300+ applications and I've only gotten a single interview the entire time the majority of my applications never even got some automated BS email is there anything I can even do at this point I don't want to be a nihilist but I feel completely hopeless and trapped. is there any solution or do I just off myself?

I'm in the same boat : (

-tailor your resume to the positions you're applying for, be specific about your experience and skills, do research into what the position you're applying for entails
-embellish where you need to, be convincing... but don't outright lie..if you get a call back for an interview practice those embellishments
-Shortly after applying, make a call to the place you're applying for, let them know that you've applied, that you're interested...leave a name and phone number
-write cover letters
-if you experience, seek out local volunteer work to have something to show on you're resume...something consistent, practical, realistic (this will also get you accustomed to the routine of working if you haven't)
-practice, train, research and develop practical employable skills for the sorts of jobs you're applying for
-make connections with well adjusted people in real life, through things like church, clubs or otherwise
-get advice from well adjusted people who know how to secure a job, if they can look over your resume and help you revise it, or recommend you at the company they work
-look for local job/unemployment centers, they can offer some guidance and programs to help people get off their feet...some of them can be unreliable though

you might fail the first few interviews but don't let that discourage you, learn from it to do better on the next one

Also a common question they will ask in interviews is "tell me about yourself" they're not asking this literally, they're asking about your work/school/volunteer/internship experience. . . answer in a way that makes you sound fit for the position you're going for
Research interview questions too, there's a lot of trick questions/double speak, it's weird...

goodluck, and don't give up, it's tough out there

Post Nr.3 pretty much summed it up perfectly,
100% a quality answer.

Never despair, it's never helpfull and you can indeed get addicted to a certaint kind of sadness...
I was also unemployed for a while and the only thing I regret was my despair and rotting in my room in those times =/

Just try to maximize your health, physical and mental.
Everything else will follow.
Learn to cook good cheap meals, go for a walk every day and reduce (overly stimualting) media consumtion, maybe even get a cheap productive hobby like drawing, building birdhouses or other simple woodworking projects, maybe help out at an animal shelter etc...

Controversial take:
If you've become somewhat stable I would even recomend serving in the army for a year and go through basic training at least.

I don't think the army would accept me due to my mental health nor would i want to (politics/morals and such)

I lie on my resume because I know they don’t ever check

Morals should not be a concern since the idea is to simply be in the army for about a year in order to learn the disciplin and workethic to be able to life on your own, when you come to the point where you either have to work or perish.
You will basically be at bootcamp, do some work at some military base and you get paid for learning how to be a fit, disciplined human being.
Politics are also a non starter since you can simply not talk about them .
If you are in a western country, the army is always desperate for volunteers.

An alternative would be to life in a monastary for some months or go on a hike that goes on for weeks and weeks on end as a way to break free from all the bad habits that keep you from having the option to be part of "society".

i dont lie on my resume because i have a heart of gold and cannot bear to be dishonest...

wacky hr accused cv of being ai generated, while it was authenthic

it's "possible" to get a "job", but salary is low. not enough to rent, pay healthcare, food, commute.

real job shouldn't require cv.

many jobs require a smarphone+app, but I don't have one & employer doesn't provide.

have you tried to volunteer? internships?

There is a promise of construction jobs rebuilding Gaza, but those likely will go to Indians, pakistani, bangladeshi, habibs & gazans themselves.

"right" wing promised a lot of new jobs to spawn.

here is startup job idea : you go to public land, build a cabin of public wood, live on picking & eating berries, tiny farming. then getting arrested, because that was illegal, free cell, free meal, + guaranteed job placement as a slave in factory.

another great idea: you go to mars, and declare a wur of independence, economists say warz are good for economy.

what are your professions & qualifications?
stock market chart looks on the rise! companies & investors have money.

another option is to get volunteer job as a Medical Brother of Christ (Nurse) in Mental Asylum, on a pro side you'll get free meals & listen&watch for free on people like _modteamhere_, without patreon subsription! (And you'll be moderating them, not they!). So many denpas there, whole new level. I mean floor.

Or you could become a streamer, or influencer. Look at Asmangold.
Or maybe.. your passion is to create boards? something like wapchan? all world bows at your knees.
Don't spend your time reading bible or Engels, they won't teach you how to get a job, introduce yourself to Orwell, an expert in job creation.
And... why no one told you to ask AI? What did AI replied?

I knew a the manager who did my first interview and they did the 2nd interview right after (basiclly hired me on the spot) so this is probably not reflective of most cases but it was fairly simple nothing special i just answered any questions simply and was friendly it went well though

ive been watching mcdonalds workers go pro footage lately and it makes me want to work at mcdonalds. it's very autistic, everything has it's own little place and process and you just do the same thing repetatively and everything is nicely categorized. I want to work at mcdonalds
21 Name: meat 2025-11-28 01:41

i noticed that you can kinda like make a "optimized formula" on how to do certain tasks and stuff i wouldn't want to work at McDonalds but most places have that aspect without the hell of McDonalds

try printing out some resumes, dressing up nice-ish and handing paper applications to people in their stores. its harder to be ignored when you assert yourself into the physical space

I was fired from my last job so I am completely demoralized and don’t want to work with other humans. What’s a good job for a loner?
