I can't speak for him but personally YouTube and the internet as a whole feels very uncomfy now. You can LARP like it's 2006 all you want, but it's not. It's not 2006, it's not even 2016. Hell it isn't even 2021 anymore.
I coincidentally just uploaded a video called "2026 is the Year to Checkout." In the video I promised to never delete any of my videos, but honestly even I'm reconsidering that. I'd have to make another video rescinding that promise I suppose, maybe I could archive everything or a great deal on Archive.org. I honestly don't know yet.
It currently feels like some great machine is being constructed, bit by bit, a billion small pieces assembled over a million locations, but gradually coming into form. And I don't want anything to do with it.
