WHY DID STAR DELETE ALL HIS VIDEOS?

1 Name: Anonymous 2026-03-01 00:36
@OsakaSyndrome whats going on?
I wanted to watch your I feel like an alien video
2 Name: Anonymous 2026-03-01 01:18
Strange. His videos *are* all taken down.
3 Name: Anonymous 2026-03-01 01:43

4 Name: Anonymous 2026-03-01 02:03
Damn, him and ooze both. Wild
5 Name: Anonymous 2026-03-01 02:21
DELETE
taken down
For me , it says "Sign-in if you have been granted access to this video.", meaning that the videos are private and still accessable by Osaka himself.
I'm keeping hope that he will change his mind back to being an archive, again.
6 Name: Mint the Denpa 2026-03-01 02:44
I can't speak for him but personally YouTube and the internet as a whole feels very uncomfy now. You can LARP like it's 2006 all you want, but it's not. It's not 2006, it's not even 2016. Hell it isn't even 2021 anymore.

I coincidentally just uploaded a video called "2026 is the Year to Checkout." In the video I promised to never delete any of my videos, but honestly even I'm reconsidering that. I'd have to make another video rescinding that promise I suppose, maybe I could archive everything or a great deal on Archive.org. I honestly don't know yet.

It currently feels like some great machine is being constructed, bit by bit, a billion small pieces assembled over a million locations, but gradually coming into form. And I don't want anything to do with it.

Also dying and then going through a very dramatic week long renaissance before everyone deletes their channels is a very Denpa thing to do.
8 Name: Anonymous 2026-03-01 03:20
ooze here...honestly guys youtube is simply entertainment. I know people love all these strange videos some of us enjoy making but i think a lot of us...myself included...begun to take this stuff wayyy too seriously. There has been an air of seriousness on the net and its been becoming more and more potent especially in 2026...I think we are entering a post-truth society due to (mostly) propaganda. The internet has been absolutely OVER RUN with fringe schizos and bots...I fucking hate it here. I miss just being in high school and browsing nerdy forums. There are now so many grifters and gurus and bullshit everywhere. All of this has gotten out of hand. I know we are NEETs here mostly but our lives should really have more going on than just this internet shit. Not saying become a wagie...but maybe its time some of us shift focus to living a simpler life or just focusing more on what makes us happy. I know Osaka has been overwhelmed lately...I have been too. The last couple days have been very comfy for me since reducing my internet usage and actually experiencing tangible reality more. Its grounding.

I don't remember if there was a PeerTube link before but it leads to a 404 for now. There was also something happening with unlisted videos last night.

Just to reiterate, I've talked to Osaka recently and from what he's told me he's perfectly fine. He's not dead, he's not having any kind of violent burnout or break, he's okay.
I won't discuss the nature of our conversation or the precise reasons for his decision. I'm sure he's seen this thread, if he wants to specify anything he will himself.
Again to reiterate to prevent any wild speculation, from my conversations with him Osaka is completely fine. You don't need to worry about him.

>>6 if the internet isnt comfy anymore where do we go?

>>8 you got a point, it seems like more and more content is ai slop or some promotion for some nonsense no one wants. but imo this is also partly the user's fault, you can choose what to do online and how much, no one is forcing you watch shorts all day. go do an online course or learn about knitting or something.

and frankly osaka just leaving everything and all of us kind of hurts, the internet may not be comfy anymore but what about the fans? i watched osaka for 8 years and the thought of never hearing his wonderful Español and nuanced deep takes on everything from the ridiculousness of capitalism and wagies, to his views on European society, to his efforts in improving himself and striving for something simultaneously within and outside his grasp, like a lost mountaineer in the Pyrenees searching for his way to the top. i mean just learning a language as an adult, voluntarily, with no career justification, no exam deadline, no trip booked, thats remarkable itself, there are few individuals who can do such a thing. It was Osaka betting on himself in the most spectacular way. he's not grinding toward a credential, or a job, or anything but his own satisfaction, he is opening a door because he wanted to see what was on the other side, because beauty and curiosity were reason Enough. And in a world that demands everything be optimized and monetized and justified, that small act carried enormous weight, even if he can't see it

Are these posted anywhere?
40 Name: Anonymous 2026-03-03 07:03
recently some users of this site have been exhibiting extremely low levels of reading comprehension and technological literacy.
>>37 says the channel was not privated and >>39 asks where the videos are posted. just what!?

someone posts an RSS feed and some "denpa" not only doesn't know what an RSS feed is, but decides they'd rather get others to waste their time spitting out a basic answer instead of looking it up themselves.

cmon people, we're better than this. the so called "neo-denpas" are running windows. bring back the days of linux tty install videos so people at least feel some shame in displaying their technological illiteracy instead of exposing it to us all.

technological illiteracy
Given that many Denpas are luddites, using old technology, low fidelity, dumbphones, etc, as well as often having schizo views of technology and social media what makes you think that Denpas would be particularly technologically literate?
43 Name: Anonymous 2026-03-03 12:37
>>40
I didn't misread it. I was saying he should make an archive in case those get privated next.
>>42
Usually those people are more technologically literate, not less. Older technology had a higher barrier to entry, you needed more technical knowledge.

swole doge = Denpas
- lainchan adjacent "cyberpunk" ethos
- videos about why systemD bad
- initiating rasberry pi server
- shell scripting

- watching youtube on thinkpad in the terminal
- embarrassed about not being fluent in arch after a few weeks

cheems: "Neo-Denpas"
- "I'm quite bad at technology"
- Windows 11 screen recording
- "What's an RSS feed?"
- LMGTFY-tier posts

i dont think neo-denpas are luddites at all...a lot of them seem to just be advocating for a more mindful spiritual approach to using tech...they are nowhere near luke smith levels...this happens in every subculture btw...there will always be the "purists" and then the offshoot of people who wanna push things forward with new aesthetics and ideas..often challenging the origin of the subculture itself...i think its a good thing. I do also want to point out that a lot of neo-denpas are still chronically online, they just also balance that out with...you know...going outside sometimes

Triple parentheses are a dog whistle that was originally used to dodge algorithms taking down people's posts for using the word Jew or other well known antisemitic slurs and dog whistles, because at the time algorithms couldn't pick up on them, and at least when it was first used it was relatively unknown, allowing people to discuss things with one another while flying over normies heads.

It originates from the Merchant Minute segments of TRS who would play an audio echo effect whenever they mentioned a Jewish name.

Places parentheses around the word Jewish completely undermines the whole point of the dog whistle. Besides the whole parentheses thing is very 2015.

We call them Brazilians now. Keep up or get left behind.

70 Name: osaka chan enthusiast 2026-03-04 13:15
It has been four long, hard, days without the eloquent musings of fair and beautiful osaka syndrome, it is in these long drawn out hours that ones mind wanders to the inevitable. what has befell our mysterious reclusive subject?

Could it be, that he is ashamed of his past? May it not be true, for his openness of thought are rare among the people today. To be ashamed of ones own true inner self, and to repress it and bury and pretend its not real, would be the a great burden on the mind and soul. It would weigh heavy in every thought and action, and cause one to doubt and hesitate at every turn. A man so burdened does not move freely through the world, he negotiates with it, testing each step before he takes it, watching for the places where the ground might give way and reveal what lies beneath.

Osaka expressed quite clearly in some of his more recent videos that it was just this kind of speculation and chatter about him that put him off from being a "YouTube personality". I get that this or probably ironic but come on man.
