Why y'all so damn miserable now?

I might just be just insane or a bad case of negativity bias, but it certainly feels that "denpa-chan" has been much more ridden with mindless hate especially when compared to say a year ago on here.
denpachan is no longer comfy

Please stop with the constant unnecessary meta threads.

I think it's annoying too but I feel like this is fairly notable atleast more than "denpa iz dead" for the 17th thousand time

I think the regular users kept things in check and it was respected, until the parasocial debate. Idk it feels like since then its become more hostile. I could be wrong, but it does feel less friendly

It seems fine to me. There is a lot of negativity but... I wouldn't say mindless hate. Maybe in some threads, but those threads would be better ignored or saged.

I’m just hateful and negative in general. I mean every now and then there’ll be an outburst of transphobia or racism or raving about teh JEWS and even if the mods clean it up fast it leaves you with this lingering feeling that you’re hanging out with assholes. So you become an angry and prickly hedgehog and be defensively mean to everyone.

I've been really stressed out recently but I barely notice it until I'm physically so tense I almost burst and I'm worried it's insidiously seeping into my words and attitudes without me intending and I begin to second guess myself in self loathing. I feel an urge to apologize for something to someone, I don't know what or who, so I'm venting here. Am I being miserable now? I can't even tell and that makes me want to cry.

I understand this feeling it's awful im thinking the world as a whole has been much more stressful. i catch myself or i catch others being negative or "miserable" at times but i try to remember that everyone has shit days i do feel like looking back at the original post i made it's pretty hypocritical in this sense
13 Name: Anonymous 2026-03-25 03:32
unpopular opinion, but why can't we be around people who think differently than us? doesn't it open up our worldviews? even if its mindless hate or negativity, the world is full of that regardless. if we try censoring everything all the time, there would be no evolution in thinking. whats wrong with feeling negative emotions? it helps us reflect on what our core values are. i say everyone should be allowed to express themselves. and if you cant hear others' thoughts different from your own without calling everything miserable then maybe that shows more about yourself than anyone else. and everyones definition of comfy is different so that never was going to be a steady commitment & frankly im annoyed by everyone who tries to maintain that

>>13 Hate is narrow and degrading and has a habit of spreading to everything around it and closing off the worldview that is supposed to be opened. Thus hate is self-defeating. If as you say the world is already full of hatred why the need to repeat it here for the millionth time? We all know where to find it if we want it but most are aware that it has absolutely nothing to offer and thus don't want it. You expressed a different opinion and we can coexist just fine, but if we wouldn't censor something some of the time then there would be no evolution in thinking, no selection of the fittest. Feeling negative emotions is fine but extremely draining and I'd like to use my limited energy for something else. Anger is a poison of the mind that makes even the most sensible people act impulsively and irrationally against their own core values in the heat of the moment. Same can be said to be true of the excessive joy of someone in love too of course but of these two madnesses one is blessed and the other is not.

There’s a difference between mindless hate (kill all tr00ns) and an unpopular opinion (I don’t agree with transgenders because of X). The less room we give for people to air the latter, the more they devolve into mindless hate. The anti-hate, keep everything comfy parade have increased the amount of hate by censoring opinions that should be discussed. Still, nobody should be called a nigger, a tr@nny or a kike in respectful conversation. I’ve also find it funny that those who whine about hate and uncomfyness, are themselves hateful towards people they think it’s okay to hate like rednecks, trans chasers, evangelicals, homeless people etc.

I don't think undeniably wrong and hateful mindsets should be considered valid world views there's a big difference between something like "ALL BLACK PEOPLE ARE SUBHUMAN FILTH" or "ALL HETEROSEXUALS ARE BIGOTS" and like when people are going around and just casually being incredibly hateful to all sorts of these groups even if the whole image of these "groups" is completely made up and false. a world view about something like society as a concept is again very different from "KILL ALL JEWS" one is constructive one is destructive and the ladder is what has brought the internet the and the world as a whole to it's current state. It benefits none of us to mindlessly fight only the capital elite

I still don't understand the purpose of this thread. I haven't seen a single person say anything NEAR "all black people are subhuman filth" on this board.

honey make sure you read carefully and think about it some before replying also i still see needless slurs being thrown around all the time

not saying this place should be censored because then we end up getting a situation on every other social media where you have to say "unalived" when talking about an active genocide but it's also like just no need to be doing all that man have some decency for yourself and your fellow man

I see where you're coming from here but nobody is going to cease using slurs so I really wouldn't even bother mentioning it, Not to invalidate you, just saying that using '-fag' as a suffix and saying retarded really isn't going anywhere anytime soon.....

There's not much to be done other than what has always worked on every single board in existence: post gold so dazzling that it leaves no room for stupidity, or leave with your dignity intact. There's no use in wasting your time and energy if you're not commited to improving the places you inhabit, or if you see no chance of making a difference.

People saying "fag" or joking about Jews is nowhere near the sort of violent bigotry youre talking about. It's just vapid edginess. Youre severely overreacting to something harmless. Go back to Discord.

The dubiousness of the circumstances of the creation of this thread aside I've found it valuable and it has made me reflect on many general principles and clarify my own position to myself which will undoubtedly bear fruit in the future.

Please for the love of god stop namefagging, I don't hate you but there is really no need and it is dragging the board down

You'd be way more comfortable on Reddit.
27 Name: Anonymous 2026-03-25 20:50
i feel like meat is being deconstructive with this thread while at the same time criticizing deconstruction...which btw...deconstruction equals post-modernism and post-modernism equals denpa so....yeah this thread is kind of pointless

Not at all, at least when it comes to what I've said in >>21

are y'all going to have a conversation or just repeat the exact thing im talking bout? with the constant nonsense buzzwording and mindless sludge of words
>>28
because that doomer mentality is just plain stupid. things can change you just have to be willing to do so

this is the kind of thing I've loved about many of the things i found amongst "denpatube" I found many of the creations i saw helped me like better shape my sense of self and my mindset on many things. i am really glad to hear that (even some of my quite admittedly flawed prior messages) is making you think about those kind of things <3 to me it's the magic of "denpa"

I’m trying to have a conversation with you and link it back to the nature of denpa but you basically just called me vapid so idk where to go from here…I think there was merit in pointing out the connection with post-modernism. People think denpa is just niche net subculture thing but n0 and Osaka were quite obviously inspired by the nihilism of post-modernism. If you feel that mentality is my no longer for you then it might be time to move on. I have also found the entire hipster mentality of all this niche internet bullshit to be kinda negative, draining, and ultimately hollow as of late. None of it really serves a point or has anything to say beyond the typical “I spend all day online and I’m an outsider” so I’ve been focusing on making better art outside of all this shit. It’s been a positive experience for me to see what else I can do with my creative faculties. But I still stand by this whole movement being kind of retarded.

i see (to be fair ur original post isn't very in-depth) my view of what "denpa" is. is essentially just an outsider (this is why i don't like the label of "denpatuber") in my first post im referring to solely this site and in post 16 my meaning of destruction isn't just about this site of this label of "denpa" stuff like that ends up being spread like a virus though-out every asset of our lives. sadly now the internet and the real-world tends to mix in all the wrong ways. and finally i agree "denpa" as a movent or a "genre" is a foolish way to view-it really the idea of "outsiders and normies" is harmful in of itself but thats for another post
33 Name: Anonymous 2026-03-25 21:39
mods ban this thread and the op

for sure. i agree the whole outsider vs normie dynamic has become extremely tired and played out at this point..this shit is basically mainstream now and anyone still pushing these narratives are genuinely out of touch despite thinking they are still on the cutting edge of something. There is definitely room for greater artistic expression on the net...and just a better sense of healing and self improvement in the world in general..but this might not be the place to promote such things. People here are basically edgier redditors with slightly more extreme beliefs and tendencies. It might sound cliche but if you want to influence the world around you in a positive way then its probably better to disconnect and start from scratch. I find focusing on my immidiate surroundings and working outward from there has helped. Lately I have been genuinely trying to get my stuff into legit galleries as well as collabing with more creative people I know IRL who aren't chronically online. Again, its been a positive experience. If you want to think outside the box then its probably better to just throw the entire box away and find a new one or just stop living in a box all together. Much love, meat. Love your music stuff

stop saying the word denpa on this board ffs

it def seems like that would be the next step I've been working on a website but i wanted to get some blog posts up first before putting it online. I've been lurking around my local scene for a while I feel like soon I can probably put out something to at-least make a mark (probably releasing my album) also thank you so much for listening to my music <3 i feel bad for how long I've had stuff in the oven but I feel like I've been improving rapidly as of late

i think starting with your local scene is a great idea...look for open mics and stuff like that..people at those things are usually friendlier than you might think
