i really love music from games where melee combat is the star of the show. there's something that i love about the fast-but-not-too-fast tempo, the focus that is placed on the percussive instruments and the frequent use of harsher sounds.
some of my favorite examples:
every horde theme from L4D2
"oresum" from exanima: https://files.catbox.moe/efjkvu.wav
"slavers" from overgrowth: https://files.catbox.moe/cey45g.flac
"aahw" from madness project nexus: https://files.catbox.moe/wr4opp.wav
this fondness that i hold for the somewhat harsh sounding music with complex percussive rhythms extends to most of my music taste. i listen to a lot of different stuff (my 5x5: https://files.catbox.moe/ve99ik.png) but nothing makes me feel as good as those drums make me feel.
>>2 very nice. soothing sounds.
>>3 i don't know much about goth music but i really like dead can dance's s/t if that's the kind of music that you're talking about.
>>4 i borrowed a really cool hardcore electronic compilation cd from someone i know, i feel like you'd enjoy it, if i ever get around to ripping it. it's called "planet hardcore - pkgcd07" released on the label @udiogenic records.
>>5 ska isn't really my thing but my brother loves ska, i'll make sure to get him to listen to this album.
>>6 i know who you are. i know what you are.

most of what I listen to these days is oldschool techno, jungle, and hardcore

this is pretty much my favorite set ever, period, including the goofy-ass MC
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDpomu9o5gM
"wishy-washy like a dishwasha~" -- the man has the silliest rhymes but he was having fun
absolutely killer final tune too, kinda wish he let it run a little longer instead of spinning things down in the middle of the song

here are some songs ive chosen to try and share with denpa chan. i think at this point i mightve cut more songs than i've actually listed. ive spent maybe way too much time on this, lol

https://youtu.be/Dg4R5FA4ZE4 watchusdiedotcom - hitman ... easily my favorite music to come out of 2024, squeaky clean pop music about getting killed for entertainment
https://blacksquares.bandcamp.com/track/go-home girls rituals - go home ... uncomfortably intimate for a song that only has synthesizer for instruments
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctXwuvaXG3g schizoscriptures - hellworld ... production quality is beyond descript.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7bhCJyynkA chance the rapper - arthur theme ... phenomenal rapper phenomenal joy captured in recording. i wish more mixes sounded like anco
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5msWb1l2j6g clipping - wriggle ... harsh noise and hiphop were always meant to be good friends

i like denpa song a lot. denpa song is very important to me. here are some of my favorite denpa songs:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-NSaCMZGHs shinsei kamattechan - ruru's suicide show ... ;;
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNi-Ol2Fak8 無理レコーズ - にゃまにゃま ... cute song for cute
https://youtu.be/MkOPc2mGFL8 emamouse - our house ... her folkish charm and extending melodies delight me

>>10 stomach book rips, having fun checking out the others on ur list
>>12 good jazz is so important thank u for sharing
>>32 thank u for sharing
>>38 i am very delighted that you've shared this ... something very compelling about the scale of it as a production, more interesting as cinema than music to me.
