I have been listening to Nihongo con Teppei in the car lately. He talks in a very natural, casual way (since he is a native Japanese guy) and occasionally goes off on tangents that can be a little hard to follow as a beginner, but he keeps things pretty easy. I can mostly understand most episodes, with some being easier than others. He also has a more advanced level podcast (at least, he has mentioned it, I can't find it right now). The earlier episodes are easier than the later ones (that also means they're a lot more boring in my case) and might be more useful to someone starting out. Sometimes he explains terms he uses, sometimes you just need to figure it out or look it up. I definitely recommend this podcast.
