I've been working on some writing weird theory meets theology maybe? I don't know what I'll do with it when I'm done. Maybe if its worth it I'll setup a blog.

in school, i had a writing teacher who taught me this exercise. you just write as fast as you can for 10 minutes, no backspacing or editing until time is over. the full commitment to stream of consciousness is a great way to stretch your writing muscles, and for me it led to some interesting ideas that i maybe would not have come up with otherwise

trying this out today for sure
been doing a lot of songwriting lately, i find that changing location helps my head a lot when it comes to writing. you dont have to go outside, even just changing the room youre in before writing can really help you subconciously. theres a nice park near my house and i walk there sometimes to get a lot of ideas on physical pen and paper

I hate hitting writers block. I hate it when I hit a snag while writing, especially if I’m digging up a quote, a reference, or a date and it just screws up my whole chain of thought.

for quotations i feel it's probably best to just add something like "TODO: add that one quote here" and just move on till a second pass, specifically because otherwise it will 100% derail the thought process.

Yeah but its such a chore going back and adding them in at the end and making sure the quote is accurate etc especially if you’ve done like 7 pages of writing and have like 10 quotes and dates and going back and adding them all in just kills me

My dream in life is to write indecipherable “weird theory” and get critical theory hounds and random morons on the internet to take it seriously. So far I have distilled the following principals:
1. It must have a dark frightening conclusion or something that seems absurd (humans are le bad)
2. Should be written like French theory on crack, reference Continental philosophy because nobody reads analytical crap
3. Must have a techno glossy sci if aesthetic and make the reader think he’s fucking Neo
I’m not sure what else to add. So far I’ve written like 6,000 words of random ass notes. Gimme tips.
