It takes a lot of people to keep societies of all sizes ticking over, and it takes a dedicated effort on many fronts to develop them in a positive way. The fact that there are people out there who are maintaining the power infrastructure right now allows us to communicate. If they sat in a dim bedroom watching loli for months on end, wanking, then the world would be a slightly worse place by most metrics.
I'm not against junkies, wankers and people who visit Reddit, but we can't have everybody doing that.
