Do you play JRPGs

Ive played mother 1, FF2, earthbound, pokemon mystery dungeon red, every pokemon games until the 3ds ones, SMT1, Paper Mario, Digimon Dusk, Digimon World DS, 3 yugioh card games on GBA (got some progression rpg elements), Chocobo Dungeon 2, I cant remember any more at the moment.

TRPGS: Super Robot Wars (Gameboy), Super Robot Wars Alpha / Alpha Gaiden, Fire Emblem (GBA), Dragon Force (Sega Saturn), Battle for Wesnorth, Project X Zone.

JRPGS are my 2nd favorite genre of video games, fighting games are a little bit better. 16bit era jrpgs are my least favorite era of JRPGS because they look ugly. My favorite system for rpgs is the famicom because the default empty space in open world rpgs is either green grass, blue water or sky, and deep blacks, the background of mother 1 and final fantasy battle scenes are mostly black, huge swaths of famicom rpgs have black space, making for a very unique visual design. In later era jrpgs, developers always put color in every space. Also they are shorter fuck multi disk ps1 jrpgs they are so fucking long.

A very unique JRPG on the famicom is Monster Maker 7, it is based on a TTRPG Card game hybrid from japan. You get to recruit cute anime girls and boys on your team. The first dungeon boss is really hard (you should atleast do the first 2 missions to see if you like it) the game hasn't been fan translated but it isn't that hard to play.

I really want to get around to playing the first 3 dragon quest games on my famicom. Two really weird games are the first two Ultima games on famicom because its japanese developers taking an established Western RPG and changing the gameplay and aesthetics to match JRPGS of the time such as Dragon Quest 3.

If you ever play a shin megami tensai game. You might want to play the first 3 wizardry games on the famicom (or any home computer or console release) since in the option menu you can change the language from japanese to english in the famicom release.

Anyways i have autism sorry for typing alot of shit i just really like jrpgs. if ur a noob at them play paper mario.

JRPG Recommendations:
Digimon Dusk/ Dawn - better than digimon cyberslueth has more digimon in it.

FF2 - doesn't have traditional JRPG level up system.

Gen 1 Pokemon - Gen 1 truther fuck Gen 2 and 3

Yugioh 7 trials to glory - Best Yugioh game ever made

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Red - Have 500 hours in it A+++.

Mother 1 - better in someways to earthbound

Dont play super robot wars games unless your mentally ill like me
