Firstly, you sort of killed your own video; spending literally the first 10 minutes on that cabbage meme and making no attempt to contextualize it or as to why it is even relevant at all to the viewer isn't conducive to its success. Of course the algorithm didn't pick it up since people were genuinely clicking off within the first 10 seconds lol. Seceondly, appeal of it is extremely niche. Who outside of your audience and other hardcore otakus would be interested in watching that video? Its performance is a direct measure of its value. (It's still a very good video and I did enjoy it; I'm not saying it's bad here). Learn from it and start making the next one.

Tim Rogers does the same thing in all of his videos and is successful. But I would that is in spite of the format rather than because of it. The success of his videos are the exception not the rule. He coasts off name recognition and an established base of support from his time at Kotaku, as well as genuinely unrivaled writing.

I would suggest removing the meme title and letting it sit. Perhaps also include an emotionally manipulative word in the thumbnail in bold red. It is cringe but this seems to be the youtube meta for engagement.
