While on the topic of Japanese dress styles in the west. I would love it (as a man) if women would dress like lots of slice of life characters do. Things like a dress shirt and a pinafore dress, bobby socks and a ribbon in hair. Rounded off collars, puffy sleeves, pleated skirts, shirts with those ribs going down them, suspender skirts, etc. It is modest, classy, stylish, cute, work appropriate and originates from our very own western traditions. They basically wear a modernised version of what women used to wear in the west. I think it is a great look.
