From what I have seen being Denpa is very much a state of being rather the an identity imo I've been in a stat of Denpaness at various points in my life when I have been a NEET (which I am currently) and I have spent most of my time on niche interests or activities. There is also the whole "Stuck in four walls" thing where you never leave your room, which again I would say is a baseline sense of being for a lot of people that tend to go on these sites, not to insult them. Obviously some of us have jobs but I don't know how much that would affect how Denpa someone is, depends on the job
