I've never played Counter-Strike before, but I'd imagine it would be a similar feeling as walking around in an empty CS map or something. Very unique emotion!
On a somewhat-related note, I just remembered this cool game jam on itch where the premise was that you had to make a game about a dying MMO. There are a few gems that came out of it. I'd recommend checking it out; the one I remember the most vividly is 'Sanctuarium Online,' which plays like a DS Emulator! The game itself was just alright, but the emulator was a really neat concept.
