IRC for these sorts of communities is pretty much just orbiting around dominant personalities until an "order" is established, after which everyone involved decides they are too cool for the unwashed Anonymous masses to ever come back. Imagine thinking you are cool for sucking off a chatroom-famous loser on the Internet. Or almost even worse, becoming the chatroom-famous loser with an army of people even more pathetic than you at your beck and call. It has to be stated in this somewhat mean-spirited way in order to prevent the bad idea from materializing.
