Basically, if someone says
"I cannot be bothered to do [some complex task], let alone [some simple task]", that doesn't give the implication they want it to. If you can't do something difficult, that doesn't at all imply you can't do something easy.

The correct order is "I cannot be bothered to do [some simple task], let alone [some complex task]".
This provides the correct implication that due to not being able to do something easy, you certainly can't do something hard.

That being said, I haven't heard anyone say it in the wrong order before.
