I'll take it that you're in earnest and want to have a proper discussion: What has tech done to society and why does that make you feel more like you have to abandon urban life? Why does abandoning urban life have to entail becoming a traditionalist conservative? How will traditional conservatism help with the negative consequences of technology and the way it's being (mis)used? I think this whole conversation could've been started, can be had, and can be concluded without unnecessary politicking. (Also perhaps it would be more suited, or already exists, as its own thread on /technology/?)
