We live in a global society. We have a global economy. The nation is everyday something smaller and smaller, one of these days we will no longer have to bear this farce of "national" news, or any sort of news media for that matter. In defending "local" living over national living, you are being more blood-and-soil than blood-and-soil, more reactionary than reaction. You spread your poison online all to see, you huddle in comfort with your fellow losers who care nothing more than their little volksgemeinshaft suspended in their local community.
You should your sights HEIGHER! You should reject to reduce your self to the struggles and libidinal apparatus of the lowest common denominator, of classes that are ON THEIR WAY OUT. Rather than rejecting struggle, rather than accepting asceticism as the end all and be all of LIFE, you should do the opposite -- and set your sights on that which is INESCAPABLE, that which has through the interplay of human relations elevated itself to be something truly UNIVERSAL.
