Can you elaborate? In what way does the new obsession with the label differ from the original denpas' obsession.

I've finally fully committed to the Denpa Suicide Cult. Fuck the audience, fuck the parasocials.

If I archive my videos it'll be under a different title and tags so that only people with my dms can access it.

Acting like DenpaTube is dead because Osaka quit is silly. There are enough people with a passion for Denpa Vlogs to keep the e-"movement" alive -- many of which are quite talented and interesting!
Here are some cool (neo-)Denpatubers who still upload after the Denpa Mass Suicide that I'm aware of; feel free to reply with other channels you like, or even with shilling your own neo-Denpa channel.

Denpa/electromagnetism
I looked this up and got it translated to 'radio waves', which is pretty cool.
Anyone else notice how weird the sugested videos are on this YT page? I'm getting generic news & entertainment, epstien lists, law & lawyers, spy & paranoia and .. crow behaviours? i don't know, maybe I'm seeing what I want to see. Bare bones YT algorithm kicks up some odd things from time to time.

hate to opposite of love
I'm sorry to have been patronising the other week - I can tell you the answer if you like. The answer is FEAR. You'll start to notice it more often now; how when feeling love you're open and inviting of experience, while in fear you're closed off and rejecting - they're both centered in your heart.
Lots of negative and destructive emotions are borne of [spoilerfear[/spoiler] - it will kill more than its host body. This has never been a secret, only obscure and simple enough that many people don't notice it.

I've been trying to become a sort of DenpaTuber, but I'm beginning to realize that I am simply not denpa. Making videos without scripts is frustrating and difficult; I feel retarded when I talk about my own life instead of anything else of value.
523 Name: Anonymous 2026-03-16 20:04
I spend most of the day walking around, either in the meatspace outside or around my tiny goy apartment and talking to my imagined audience in my imaginary denpa video that i imagine i am making, but i haven't made any videos on the internet at all. What is this mental illness called?

It's surprising what people will listen to, even if it's in the background. Even long pauses don't neccessarily kill the mood, if you're having to formulate what to say in your head while recording. You could make a few bullet point notes, and have some words to jog your memory about what you wanna talk about on video. Doesn't have to be complicated. Also, you can do retakes if the first one sucks. Generally, the more you practice something, the more comfortable you become. As for not being Denpa, I think it's fair to be more a spin off from denpa. You can call it something else, in respect to R.I.P DENPA.

I'm in a similar position, Anon. I'm hoping to change it soon, though. I'm going to try to force myself to record my first actual video tonight.
The "walking in circles while imagining making something" is a type of maladaptive daydreaming, I think. Fernando Pessoa writes about doing this in the Book of Disquiet. I imagine many people here are maladaptive daydreamers.
>>524
Thank you for the encouragement and advice. I'll try my best.
You could make a few bullet point notes
This is a good midpoint between writing a script and just speaking unprompted.
I imagine denpa-fans are somewhat lenient in regards to awkwardness, since most people here are autistic and also kind of stiff when speaking.

cross-posting my comment here incase it gets blocked on youtube but

I don't want to be come as rude but this video (You're Invited, to My Strange World) itself comes of as very disingenuous opening with a quite frankly very parasocial rant about Mr Osaka and "denpa". and then like you complain about the rise aesthetics after praising the same sort of things but it comes off as it's just what OsakaSydrome does so its good. with feeling alienated in the "denpa scene" part really just comes of being a contrarianism and elitism i think both bragging about how like say much video games you play but also how little you do are both sides of the pretentious idiot coin.

If you have a problem with the denpa community and whatnot then leave. Commit to your decision; don't come crawling back. What happened to 'FUCK THE PARASOCIALS!', 'FUCK DENPA' and 'FUCK THE AUDIENCE', etc? -- Might I add here that you were and still are the biggest Osaka parasocial; starting the crusade against 'parasocials' was literally just you projecting. Only a very VERY small minority of people actually engage with denpa videos and the creators in this way (for that small minority though they are problematic; I'm not arguing against that). The rest just watch the videos normally. It's actually preposterous to suggest that watching videos is parasocial and that also in itself is inherently bad too. What exactly am I doing then when I engage in literally any piece of art? I connect with the author/artist through their chosen means of communication. OH NO IM PARASOCIAL!

I remember Unim said in a stream (now I'm only using his words as a marker of an underlying cultural perception as he seems to be a person more in touch with 'denpa' than most; he probably hard disagrees with everything I say here too) that, had you not labeled yourself as denpa and had been so forward about how that you're so denpa and all, putting denpa in your name, taking about Osaka and denpa constantly, he would not have considered you it, but rather just some dude making videos in a similar in style. I can't help but think that the majority of your problems with the denpa community stem from trying to, ironically, fit in in a community to where the core tenets of the culture are antithetical to connecting with others, social cohesion, community, etc -- perhaps even normal 'human' values. Everyone here is a freak, fundamentally (in a good way), alienated by humanity, the world, and reality. So you went about doing the denpa thing (in the way YOU think it should be done -- nothing is wrong with this, being yourself is good and is encouraged), realised you weren't really getting whatever need you wanted to be fulfilled met, got all pissy, pointed the finger at the denpa community and 'left'. Now you're back. But you have an agenda now: "It's the people in this community! I don't connect or relate to them! They smell too! They need to change and be like me! Because I'm better!" (Which again is to be expected; the people here have drifted so far from normalcy and the chances that any two individuals here end up near each other in terms of values, worldview, etc, is near zero. But this only becomes a problem when you have a need for the comradery/social acceptance.) You said that you don't want to be associated with whatever 'sub-group' of denpa-chan that you're currently perceiving as 'degenerate' and this would be indicative with what I said previously. Furthermore, there is no sub-group doing that; you're just seeing clusters of it happening then assigning a group to it. Eventually, most people at some point would post something like that for simple fact that they're human and have struggles.

"I'm not jumping at anyone's throats." You are and should admit it. It's a very sly move. When you say this you want to absolve yourself of the social responsibility of being perceived of doing so and have a much easier time changing the values of the culture without resistance. I don't like how you envision denpa and I'm pushing back against the values you want to impose onto it. Leave the people here alone mate and let them do what they want. Don't make a video hinting that they're inferior and then say you're not doing that. Also, I personally don't consider myself denpa, and it's also not up to me to decide that too. You don't decide it either, not for yourself or for others.

Honestly I always considered mints videos to just be an extremely raw and stripped down version of the denpa vlog. Similar to how hardcore punk relates to traditional punk…and I know people here hate this analogy…but the original hardcore kids HATED how nihilistic, edgy, and self destructive the original punks were. But they still genuinely loved the music. So they took that style music and put their own spin on it. A lot of those dudes were bringing in things that punk was never previously about. Hell, there’s an entire sub genre of spiritual hardcore called “Krishna-Core” and lots of other offshoots and variations that evolved over time. My perception of what mint is doing is he seems to be stripping away a lot of the core values of denpa, criticizing them, and doing a much simpler version of the denpa vlog while adding his own interests and flairs. I think it’s cool. But I’m not saying denpas being analogous to OG punks with the nihilism and stuff is necessarily a one to one comparison and…even if it was…that isn’t really a bad thing. People can do what they want with their lives. I personally enjoy living like shrek and just slopping around in my room. But idk I don’t see the point in getting annoyed and trying to reel him back or edit him at all. He should just do his thing. And if he’s not allowed to be annoyed and should be open to criticism then so should everyone else.

i don't understand why the "neo-denpas" just not make videos. You hardly ever saw "og denpas" or whatever debate what "denpa" is ad nausem.
they just /did/ stuff and broadcast it. This constant looking back, measuring against some arbitrary metric that /never fucking existed/ is a ball and chain you are inventing and chaining to yourselves.

denpa has gone full simulacrum with these "neo-denpas" and that's the real tragedy here.

I'll cross-post my reply in that case.

I don't hold Osaka up as an idol, he's a very flawed guy. I wasn't necessarily praising him, I was just saying that I was drawn to his video because he was doing what others on YouTube claim to do, something genuinely different and authentic. There's a difference between an aesthetic that you just so happen to have and aestheticising something. For example most Denpa content, including mine is extremely low fidelity because most of us are poor NEETs who can't afford top of the line hardware to upload our videos, therefore we record at low resolutions to keep our file sizes small, because otherwise it would take literally hours to upload some of our videos. It's not aestheticised, it's just the aesthetic the videos happened to take up due to necessity.

Also I wasn't bragging about not playing video games, etc. As I eluded to in this video and have said in others, I'm quite a fucked up guy, and I have my own vices. I was just saying that I'm not interested in getting past the current slop/entertainment to venture onto new pastures of slop. I'm looking to do away with entertainment entirely to whatever degree I can. Maybe that seems pretentious, but for me it reads more like a drug addict trying to quit an addiction.

>>570
I admit that I had a very toxic view of Denpa earlier on and was trying to (somewhat manically) steer it in my own direction. In the video you're referring to I stated how I felt like I became corrupted, maybe I didn't speak about that as much as I should have, but I'm quite frankly ashamed of some of my later videos, before I "left" and the whole direction that I was taking the channel.

OH NO IM PARASOCIAL!
Yeah that whole parasocial thing was retarded to be fair.

But you have an agenda now:
I changed my name because I recognised some of the, more than anything, retarded behaviour I was getting myself into in forwardly identifying with the Denpa label. It was very presumptuous of me.

Honestly from this point moving forward I think I'm just going to stop referring to Denpa or any of the meta on here entirely. Honestly meta itself is probably just a potential pitfall. Not discussing the meta of Denpa would seem like a good way to keep out of the drama.

I apologise for any offense I may have caused to anyone, or any drama I may have started here.

see: every single "what is denpa" thread.
this is manifestation of the same problem. some weird nostalgia for something that didn't exist. if you don't get it that's fine. i'm clearly not the only person who has noticed this tendancy and think it's lame.
im not saying this is a universal problem amoung all the "neo denpas", as we are terming them, it's just a problem that exists as an undercurrent in the space, coloring everything and does sometimes become the actual text of the content.

There is one og denpa who was notably fixated on the term, but i have for a long time viewed them as being annoying for that reason (amoung others). No i won't bother calling them out. or anyone for that matter. If you don't see the issue i'm talking about that's fine. Unless you are feeding the problem. then you are a glowie attempting to destroy my culture and fuck you.

i define it as simply "outsider" hence why I think the labeling of a "denpatuber" or a "denpavideo" is stupid a "denpascene" a outsider scene it kinda contradictory to the definition of an outsider no?

really the need to constantly classify everything we encounter is a problem in of itself.

Unironically jumpscared.

I'm going to reply to Flaneur's "dread" video tonight as I don't think I can adequately write down what I would like to say to them

This seems like a fun exercise for denpas to do. Talk about something small and meaningless for one hour.
