I could never finish SH4 because the first person segments gave me awful awful motion sickness and I couldn't play it for more than a couple minutes. I don't think the other SH games could have worked in any other medium, because the major source of the disturbing atmosphere is caused by the gameplay.

Yeah, the internet is just hellish. Where else do you spend time? I thought it was bad in 2021 but its just so much worse now. I hate being online today just as much as I hated irl 20+ years ago. The nihilistic cancer of the internet infests and destroys everything so even if I run to irl, I can't stop seeing internet brained post-humans everywhere. Hikki/NEET sucks so much because there's no place to escape to.

less comfy for me lately because my family has been falling apart due to addiction and mental illness and nobody seems to be aware of it except for me...my mom is becoming addicted to xanax and my brothers are basically not in our lives at all...my dad is so low empathy that it doesnt even matter if he's here or not...so lately i have just been helping out around the house and trying to be present for my mom while remaining comfy and low stress...trying to find a job has also been hell on earth but hey...at least i have counter strike and denpachan i guess

Not really. I've been one for 7+ years now and despite my personal issues I feel like I've barely begun exhausting all that this lifestyle has to offer. I am speaking from quite a privileged position though. There are small pockets of sanity on the web and if I grow weary of the world I can always just go into the woods or retreat into my own mind and come back refreshed.
