Deleuze and Guattari have this obsession with trees. They contrast the tree (bad) with the rhizome (good). Tree-like thinking is bad, hierarchical, etc. at the same time these guys are trashing the image of the tree, corpos are pushing mass deforestation on a scale never seen before in human history. Okay I'm not saying Deleuze caused this, but you have to ask why Western philosophers say stuff at this point in time. Its uncomfortable.
