100% true from what I saw lurking for a few weeks.
Since there are pretty much no Standards or gatekeeping, there is no reason not to be or become an insufferable looser. If one stops romanticizing the concept of a "Denpa" and thinks about the actual people drawn to such a lifestyle, one has to notice a common theme of addictions, weakness of will, sexual degeneracy, (mental) illness, maladaptive traits, no will to actually change for the better etc... be it caused by trauma or by genes.
Of course such people suck and create an unplesant space.
What's interessting are the few people who overcome their hardships and use this unique lifestyle of social isolation and informational-overload to create unique content that has artistic value to it. If the content also affirms a healthy, meaningfull lifestyle despite ones suboptimal circumstances, more power to it.
